Why Was I Charged Automatically in Advance?
Find out why automatic payments occur before your domain or hosting plan expiration date.
Understanding Automatic Billing for Domain and Hosting Plans
When you subscribe to our services, automatic payments are set up to ensure your domain or hosting plan is renewed on time. Here’s an overview of why this process happens in advance.
How Automatic Payments Work
For customers paying by credit card or PayPal, an automatic payment is created for the upcoming renewal period. This charge occurs exactly 7 days before the expiration date to prevent any downtime if there are issues with your payment method.
Notifications and Reminders
Our payment processor sends a notification when the automatic payment is initiated. Additionally, we issue reminders at least 24 hours in advance to keep you informed about upcoming charges.
Automatic billing ensures uninterrupted service, even if there’s a delay in processing your renewal payment.
Why Early Payments Occur
To prevent service interruptions, payments are processed 7 days before the renewal date. Note that the payment processor doesn’t know the exact expiration date of your service, so this proactive approach helps avoid any risk of downtime.
