What is a Dedicated IP Address?

A dedicated IP is a unique internet address that is assigned exclusively to your website, providing better SEO, faster website performance, and secure connections. Here's how you can get one for your domain or subdomain.

Steps to Obtain a Dedicated IP

1. Navigate to the Add or Upgrade Service(s) section in your web hosting control panel.
2. Find the option for IP Addresses, select the number of IPs you wish to purchase, and choose your preferred payment method.
3. Once your payment is approved, you can view the ordered IPs in the Account Usage table under My Domains > Dedicated IPs.
4. To assign the IP to a domain or subdomain, go to My Domains > Hosted Domains and select the domain/subdomain. From the IP Address drop-down, choose the IP you wish to assign.
5. Allow up to 10 minutes for the changes to take effect, with a potential additional 24-hour propagation period.

Important Notes

Ordering multiple IPs? You will need to request them one by one. Remember, changing the IP for the www subdomain also changes it for the domain itself.
