PayPal Billing Issues: Managing Payments and Subscriptions
PayPal Billing Issues and How to Resolve Them
Understanding PayPal Subscription and Billing Issues
Are you facing difficulties with PayPal and its subscription billing system? You're not alone. If you have money in your PayPal account but are being asked to add a credit card for recurring payments, here's what you need to know.
Why Does PayPal Ask for a Credit Card?
When you pay by PayPal, a recurring payment is often created automatically for subscription-based services. However, in some countries (such as Germany), PayPal does not allow subscriptions to be funded directly from your PayPal balance. In these cases, PayPal requires a credit or debit card as a backup funding source instead.
How to Cancel a PayPal Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time, not only through the Control Panel on our website, but also directly in your PayPal account. The process is simple and takes just a couple of clicks. Follow these steps:
- Log into your PayPal account.
- Go to the "Subscriptions and Agreements" section.
- Find the subscription you want to cancel.
- Click "Cancel" to stop the recurring payments.
What to Do if You Cannot Use PayPal Balance
If you're unable to use your PayPal balance for subscriptions due to restrictions in your country, you'll need to add a credit/debit card as your primary funding source. Alternatively, you can manually send the required amount to our PayPal account at [email protected].
Important: Add Payment Details
When making a manual payment, please be sure to mention the purpose of the payment in the payment comments box. This ensures that we can process your payment accurately and promptly.
