Understanding Recurring Payments for Hosting and Domain Renewals

What Are Recurring Payments?

If you use a credit card, debit card, or PayPal to pay for our services—such as your hosting plan, domain registration, or upgrades—a recurring payment will be created for the next billing cycle. This automatic payment system ensures that your services are renewed without you needing to worry about the expiration dates.

How Do Recurring Payments Work?

Recurring payments are set up automatically when you pay for a service. You’ll receive a confirmation email for your payment, which will include details about your recurring subscription. If you use PayPal, PayPal will also send you a separate email confirming the subscription.

The recurring payments are processed exactly seven days before the renewal date. This is done to avoid any downtime, for example, in case of insufficient funds in your PayPal account. If a payment fails, we will notify you of the issue, and you'll have a week to resolve it before your services are suspended.

Managing Your Recurring Subscriptions

You can view, manage, or cancel any subscription directly from your Control Panel. Simply hover over your name in the top right corner of your account and select the Recurring option. From there, you can:

  • View all active subscriptions
  • Cancel any subscription at any time
  • Change the payment method

Changing Your Payment Method

If you need to update the funding source for your subscription, simply go to the "Recurring" section and click on the Change button. A pop-up will appear allowing you to select a new payment method. Available options include:

  • PayPal
  • FirstData (supports all credit and debit cards)
  • WorldPay (supports American Express)

After selecting your preferred payment method, you’ll be forwarded to a payment page where you will authorize a $0.00 transaction. This transaction authorizes future payments when your plan or domain renewal is due.
